Lonegan Runs for U.S. Senate

Steve Lonegan, former state director of Americans For Prosperity, has announced his intent to run for the U.S. Senate seat vacancy created by the death of Senator Frank Lautenberg.

In order to get on the Special Election ballot, 1000 signatures are needed. The winner of the August 13th Primary will face the Democrat challenger in the October 16th Special Election. The winner would then serve the balance of the Lautenberg term, and run for re-election in November 2014.

Governor Christie on June 6 named his Attorney General, Jeff Chiesa, to fill the Senate seat in the interim. The appointment would begin June 10.

Chiesa, 47, will serve in the U.S. Senate until residents elect someone to replace him during the Oct. 16 special election. Chiesa has served as New Jersey's Attorney General under Christie since January 2012.

Lonegan is seeking immediate help from Conservatives across the state. You can help by printing out the Petition and gathering signatures. But the deadline is close at hand.

Dr. Alita Eck Runs For Senate

Dr. Alieta Eck, MD, graduated from the Rutgers College of Pharmacy in NJ and the St. Louis School of

Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

She studied Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, and has been in private practice with her husband, Dr. John Eck, M.D., in Piscataway, NJ since 1988. She has been involved in health care reform since residency and is convinced that the government is a poor provider of medical care.

She testified before the Joint Economic Committee of the US Congress in 2004 about better ways to deliver health care in the United States. In 2003, she and her

husband founded the Zarephath Health Center, a free cl

inic for the poor and uninsured that currently cares

for 300-400 patients per month utilizing the donated services of volunteer physicians and nurses.

Dr. Eck is a long time member of the Christian Medical Dental Association and in 2009 joined the board of the

Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. In addition, she serves on the advisory board of Christian Care Medi-Share, a faith based medical cost sharing Ministry.

She is a member of Zarephath Christian Church and she and her husband have five children, one a physician preparing to start his residency in ophthalmology.

The State Planning Commission is ready to adopt the revised State Plan.

Action on the plan could come unexpectedly and with short notice, so we ask you to remain alert.

After 8 public hearings, public comment closed on 10/15/12, and on 11/14, the SPC met to adopt the revised plan, but postponed action due to Hurricane Sandy's extreme impacts on the Jersey shore.The chairman said "shore development components need to be reexamined before adoption."

We ask, if an ocean storm caught them by such surprise after all the global talk of environmental change, what is the quality of the "planning" that they were doing?

WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?

While it is called an "economic" plan, it fails to address Tax Policy
It fails to address over-regulation
It fails to encourage private sector investment or job creation
It ADDS to the size of government
It advocates Centralized Government Control

*WHAT THE PLAN DOES*

The intent of the State Strategic Plan is to guide how the State allocates funding toward infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development initiatives. Problem is, NJ just can't get it right.

This time, Governor Christie wants to revise the 2001 plan (which NEVER worked) to coordinate the State's many departments (DOT, EPA, Transportation, etc.) and to consolidate and maximize funding for Economic Development. Problem now is, of all the "stakeholders" and planners who wrote the draft, its words come directly from Agenda 21. "Smart Growth." "Sustainable Development."

No sooner had Governor Christie vetoed S1566 (first Foreclosure Transformation act) than Senator Lesniak introduced a new version.
