Dist. KEY: Incumbent , district, (Challenger)
1 Robert E. Andrews (D),Camden/Gloucester/Burlington - Being challenaged by Democrat John Caramanna of Blackwood. Republicans seeking to challenge Andrews are: Dale Glading of Barrington, Lee Lucas of Gibbstown, Loran Oglesby of Sewell and Fernando Powers of Blackwood.
2 Frank A. LoBiondo (R), Cape May/Atlantic/Cumberland /Salem/Gloucester/Burlington/Camden - Being challenged by: Linda Biamonte of Northfield and Donna Ward of Mantua in the June 8th primary. The only Democrat in the primary is Gary Stein of Mullica Township. This is a key race, with Republicans challenging the incumbent Republican.
3 John H. Adler (D), Ocean/Burlington/Camden - Being challenged by Democrat Barry D. Bendar of Forked River. Seeking the Republican nomination are: Jon Runyan of Mount Laurel and Justin Michael Murphy of Tabernacle. This is a key race; Adler is one of the most liberal progressives in Congress.
4 Christopher H. Smith (R), Burlington/Mercer/Monmouth/Ocean - Being challenged by Republican Alan Bateman of Colts Neck. The only Democrat running is Howard Kleinhendler of Lakewood. This is a key race; Smith voted for Cap & Trade the first time and votes with liberal progressives very often.
5 Scott Garrett (R), Sussex/Warren/Bergen/Passaic - with no Republican challengers. Democrats in the primary election are Anthony N. Iannarelli Jr. of Ramsey and Tod Theise of Washington. There are rumors that this district is targeted for merger in 2012, when the new Census results produce Congressional redistricting.
6 Frank Pallone Jr. (D), Middlesex/Monmouth/Somerset/Union - No Democrat challenger in the primary. Republicans in the primary are Mayor Anna Little of Highlands and Diane Gooch of Rumson. This is a key race; Pallone is an author of Obamacare and a leading liberal progressive.
7 Leonard Lance (R), Hunterdon/Middlesex/Somerset/Union - Being challenged by Republicans Lon Hosford of Milford, David Larsen of Oldwick and Bruce E. Baker of Westfield. This is a key race. Lance has a terribly liberal voting record.
8 Bill Pascrell Jr. (D), Essex/Passaic - There are no Democrat challengers. Republicans seeking to challenge Pascrell in November are Roland Straten of Montclair and Blase Billack of Clifton.
9 Steven R. Rothman (D), Bergen/Hudson/Passaic - There are no Democrat challengers in the primary. Republicans seeking to challenge Rothman are: John Aslanian of Englewood Cliffs, Michael Agosta of Fair Lawn, and Sergey Shevchuk of Fair Lawn. This is a key race; Rothman is a very liberal progressive who regularly does damage to New Jersey with his votes.
10 Donald M. Payne (D), Essex/Hudson/Union - Democrat challengers include Cathy Wright of Newark and David Pinckney of Irvington. Republicans seeking to challenge in November are Thomas C. Cusmano of Rahway and Michael J. Alonso of Bayonne. This is a key race.
11 Rodney Frelinghuysen (R), Morris/Essex/Passaic/Somerset/Sussex - Being challenged by: Richard Luzzi of Sparty. Democrats in the primary are James D. Kelly Jr. of Boonton and Douglas Herbert of Chatham.
12 Rush Holt (D), Hunterdon/Mercer/Middlesex/Monmouth/Somerset - There are no Democrat challengers. On the Republican side, challengers are Scott Sipprelle, of Princeton and David Corsi of Oceanport. This is a key race. Holt is a very liberal progressive.
13 Albio Sires (D), Hudson/Union/Middlesex/Essex - Sires is being challenged by Democrats Omar Dyer of Jersey City and Jeff "Jefe" Boss of Guttenberg. Republican Henrietta Dwyer of West New York in unchallenged in the Republican primary. This is a key race.

ELEVEN Republican candidates are seeking to fill 3 vacancies on Morris County's 7-member Board of Chosen Freeholders.
The June 8th primary election will pare the 11 Republican candidates down to the three who may face a 3-member slate of Democrats in the general election. The Republican candidates:
NEVADA - Sharron Angle vs. Harry Reid
MASSACHUSETTS - SPECIAL ELECTION JAN. 19 - for Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat, Republican Scott Brown won, took office in U.S. Senate 2/9.
ARKANSAS - Blanche Lincoln's (D) Senate Seat - A new Rasmussen poll suggests Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) is in serious danger heading into 2010, trailing all four Republican challengers. Blanche Lincoln (D) was one of the sell-outs in the Senate's Obamacare vote. Possible challengers in 2010 could be: State Sen. Kim Hendren (R), state Sen. Gilbert Baker (R), businessman Curtis Coleman (R), businessman Tom Cox. Conservative Jim Holt (R), a former Arkansas state senator who took 44 percent of the vote running against Lincoln six years ago (with no money), may also run. (The liberal Arkansas Times hates Holt.)
CALIFORNIA - Nancy Pelosi's (D) 8th District House Seat - (challenger = John Dennis, R)
FLORIDA - Marco Rubio is challenging Gov. Charlie Crist for Republican nomination for U.S. Senator from FL.
MINNESOTA - Michele Bachmann's (R) Seat - Incumbent Conservative leader Rep. Bachmann will be challenged by winner of Democratic primary, either Sen. Tarryl Clark or physician Maureen Reed.
PENNSYLVANIA - Arlen Specter's ("R") Senate Seat - (challenger = Pat Toomey, R)

Who Else Will Run?Candidates for the June 8, 2010 Primary Election must file completed Nominating Petitions by April 9, 2010.
DEADLINE FOR ALL POSITIONS: The deadline to file a petition for a place on the ballot is 40 days prior to the election (EST. APRIL 9, 2010). Petitions available from your municipal or County Clerk.
1) ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNTY POLITICAL PARTY COMMITTEES WILL BE UP FOR ELECTION IN THE JUNE 8, 2010 PRIMARY ELECTION FOR 2-YEAR TERMS.
2) MORRIS COUNTY FREEHOLDER - 3 Seats. Incumbent Republicans Jack Schrier, Douglas Cabana and James Murray are running as a team seeking re-election. They are being challenged by the team of Ann Grossi, Tom Mastrangelo and John Krickus. (see item in column to left)
3) MORRIS COUNTY SHERIFF - Incumbent Republican Sheriff Edward Rochford is running for re-election.
4) MUNICIPAL COUNCILS, GOVERNING BODIES - In MOST municipalities, there are elections for the governing board this year. Some Mayors are also up for election (others are not)
5) U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - ALL members of the U.S. House of Representatives are up for election this year.
1) NJ Governor (next election = 2013)
2) NJ State Senate (all 40 up for election in 2011, for 2-year terms, based on new Census redistricting)
3) NJ General Assembly (all 80 seats up for election in 2011, for 2-year terms)
4) U.S. Senate from NJ -Sen. Robert Menendez will next face election in 2012 (earlier, if a Recall campaign is successful); Sen. Frank Lautenberg will next face election in 2014.
